time off

time off

As I sit here trying to think of the best way to explain our sudden 3 month absence, I can't help but think about when I wrote our "about" page; "If we ever disappear from this space, it's because we stopped enjoying it". The sentiment is certainly still accurate, however, in hindsight I feel I probably should have finished it with "or just really fucking tired". See, bases covered. Come and go as you please, Cheesebrew's!

Ugh. Foresight.

So, yeah, we were tired. Without going into a lot of detail, I will just say that it is difficult to simultaneously grieve, and be excited about the future, while maintaining any semblance of normalcy in your day to day life. So, we had to pare down, and focus on the task at hand. In other words, keep busy until we remembered how to breathe. I am happy to report that we're (mostly) there.

The good thing about taking time to focus on yourself, is that it can often have a very positive effect on your creative endeavors. This has definitely been the case around here (please refer to photos) . By eliminating deadlines, and time constraints, we've been able to gain some much needed perspective, and we're ready to move on.

So, if you're reading this, thanks for sticking it out. We're happy to be here.
